TUJUH ORGANISASI TERIMA ANUGERAH KUALITI SIRIM 2017 PADA MAJLIS SIRIM INDUSTRI

Skim Pensijilan Sistem Pengurusan Anti-Bribery turut dilancar

 

SUBANG JAYA, 10 NOVEMBER 2017: Majlis SIRIM Industri 2017 yang berlangsung hari ini meraikan tujuh organisasi cemerlang yang menerima anugerah berprestij iaitu Anugerah Kualiti SIRIM 2017 serta menyaksikan pelancaran Skim Pensijilan Sistem Pengurusan Anti-Bribery.

Anugerah Kualiti SIRIM adalah pengiktirafan kepada organisasi yang mencapai tahap pengurusan kualiti di dalam pelbagai sektor yang menepati tahap standard kebangsaan dan antarabangsa.
Anugerah yang terbahagi kepada tiga kategori itu dimenangi oleh:
  • Kategori pendapatan lebih RM100 juta: Gamuda Berhad; TNB Janamanjung Sdn. Bhd. dan Malaysia Airports Sdn. Bhd.
  • Kategori pendapatan di bawah RM100 juta: Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn. Bhd dan Indkom Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
  • Kategori agensi kerajaan: Lembaga Zakat Selangor and Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Anugerah Kualiti SIRIM 2017 disampaikan oleh Timbalan Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi, Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah yang mewakili menteri berkenaan. Turut hadir pada majlis itu adalah Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, YB Senator Datuk Paul Low Seng Kuan; Pengerusi SIRIM, Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, serta Presiden dan Ketua Eksekutif Kumpulan SIRIM, Prof Ir Dr Ahmad Fadzil Mohamad Hani.

Sementara itu, Skim Pensijilan Sistem Pengurusan Anti-Bribery yang dilancarkan adalah berdasarkan standard ISO 37001:2016 yang menggariskan keperluan dan memberi panduan kepada organisasi dalam mengesan, mencegah dan bertindak balas terhadap gejala rasuah sejajar dengan keperluan Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009, dan peraturan serta undang-undang pencegahan rasuah yang lain. Standard ini juga telah digunapakai oleh Jabatan Standard Malaysia sebagai MS ISO 37001:2016.

SIRIM QAS International dengan kerjasama SPRM dan Persatuan Pegawai Integriti Bertauliah Malaysia, telah melaksanakan program perintis pensijilan yang melibatkan 11 organisasi daripada pelbagai sektor seperti jabatan kerajaan, pihak berkuasa tempatan, syarikat berkaitan kerajaan (GLC) dan syarikat swasta.

Kesemua organisasi menerima sijil penghargaan sempena pelancaran skim itu pada majlis berkenaan. Mereka terdiri daripada Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia; Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia; Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan; Lembaga Tabung Haji; Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai; Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya; PETRONAS; Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan Pengerang; Top Glove Corporation Bhd; Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad dan Yayasan Pahang.

Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi, Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau berkata Skim Pensijilan Sistem Pengurusan Anti-Bribery di organisasi dapat meningkatkan reputasi, mengurangkan kos operasi, mengukuhkan prestasi kewangan, membudayakan integriti dan meningkatkan moral pekerja seterusnya menyumbang kepada peningkatan skor Indeks Persepsi Rasuah negara serta meningkatkan keyakinan pelabur.  

Pelaksanaan skim pensijilan ini juga dapat menggalakkan organisasi untuk melaksanakan program integriti dan memperkukuhkan sistem kawalan dalaman mereka bagi mencegah rasuah, katanya di dalam teks ucapan yang dibacakan oleh Timbalan Menteri, Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah.  

Pengerusi SIRIM, Tan Sri Dr Ir Ahmad Tajuddin Ali berkata, Anugerah Kualiti SIRIM 2017 adalah pengiktirafan kepada organisasi yang mencapai tahap pengurusan kualiti yang cemerlang.

“Diharapkan anugerah ini akan terus membakar semangat anda untuk komited dalam penghasilan perkhidmatan atau produk yang menepati keperluan pelanggan dan pengurusan yang cekap,” katanya.

Majlis SIRIM Industri diadakan setiap tahun bagi merapatkan hubungan dan kerjasama SIRIM dengan industri serta agensi kerajaan, selain memberi penghargaan kepada organisasi dan syarikat yang berjaya mendapat pensijilan daripada SIRIM QAS International, anak syarikat SIRIM Berhad. Turut diraikan adalah organisasi yang mendapat pengiktirafan Green 5S Program dan Customer Service Management Program daripada anak syarikat milik penuh SIRIM Berhad, SIRIM STS.

Majlis SIRIM Industri 2017 meraikan pelbagai industri dan agensi kerajaan yang telah menerima pensijilan dari SIRIM QAS International bagi tempoh 1 November 2016 hingga 31 Oktober 2017.

Sepanjang tempoh tersebut, sebanyak 650 produk telah mendapat pensijilan di bawah Skim Pensijilan Barangan. Dalam tempoh yang sama, lebih daripada 300 organisasi telah mendapat pensijilan di bawah Skim Pensijilan Sistem Pengurusan SIRIM QAS International.

MAJLIS SIRIM INDUSTRI: SEVEN ORGANISATIONS HOUNOURED WITH SIRIM QUALITY AWARD 2017
Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Scheme also launched

 

SUBANG JAYA, 10 NOVEMBER 2017: The Majlis SIRIM Industri 2017 held here tonight honoured seven outstanding organisations with the prestigious SIRIM Quality Award 2017, as well as saw the launching of the Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Scheme.
 
The SIRIM Quality Award is a recognition to organisations that achieve quality management in various sectors that meet national and international standards.
 
The awards were won by:
  • For income above RM100 million category: Gamuda Berhad; TNB Janamanjung Sdn. Bhd. and Malaysia Airports Sdn. Bhd.
  • For income below RM100 million category: Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn. Bhd. and Indkom Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
  • For Government Agency category: Lembaga Zakat Selangor and Universiti Putra Malaysia.
 
The SIRIM Quality Award 2017 was presented by Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah who represented the Minister. Among those present were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Senator Datuk Paul Low Seng Kuan; Chairman of SIRIM, Tan Sri Dr. Ir Ahmad Tajuddin Ali and President & Group Chief Executive of SIRIM, Prof Ir. Dr Ahmad Fadzil Mohamad Hani.
 
Meanwhile, the newly launched Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Scheme is based on ISO 37001:2016 that outlines the need and provides guidance to organisations in detecting, preventing and responding to corrupt practices in line with the requirements of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, and other anti-bribery prevention and law. The standard is also used by the Standard Department of Malaysia as MS ISO 37001:2016.
 
SIRIM QAS International in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Association of Malaysian Certified Integrity Office has implemented a pilot certification program involving 11 organisations from various sectors such as government departments, local authorities, government-linked companies (GLCs) and private companies.
 
All organisations received a certificate of appreciation in conjunction with the launch of the scheme at the event. They are the Malaysian Qualifications Agency; Immigration Department of Malaysia; Department of Road Transport; Lembaga Tabung Haji; Seberang Perai Municipal Council; Subang Jaya Municipal Council; PETRONAS; Pengerang Local Authorities; Top Glove Corporation Bhd; Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad and Yayasan Pahang.
 
Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau said the implementation of Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Scheme in the organisation will enable them to improve their reputation, reduce operating costs, strengthen financial performance, nurture the culture of integrity and improve employee morale, thus contributes to a higher score in the national Corruption Perceptions Index as well as boosting investor confidence.
 
The implementation of this certification scheme will also encourage organisations to implement integrity programs and strengthen their internal control systems to prevent corruption, he said in a speech read by Deputy Minister, Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah.
 
SIRIM Chairman, Tan Sri Dr Ir Ahmad Tajuddin Ali said the SIRIM Quality Awards 2017 was a recognition for organisations that achieved excellent quality management.
 
"It is hoped that this award will continue to inspire you to be committed in manufacturing products and delivering services that meet customer needs and efficient management," he said.
 
Majlis SIRIM Industri is an annual event to strengthen the relationship and collaboration between SIRIM, the industry and government agencies, as well as to acknowledge organisations and companies that received certifications from SIRIM QAS International, a subsidiary of SIRIM Berhad from 1 Nov 2016 to 31 October 2017. During this period, 650 products have been certified under the Product Certification Scheme. Over the same period, more than 300 organisations have been certified under SIRIM QAS International Management System Certification Scheme.
 
Also celebrated during the event were organisations that received the Green 5S Program and the Customer Service Management Program from SIRIM STS Sdn Bhd, another subsidiary of SIRIM Berhad.
