Environmental testing

MS 1749 : 2004
Classification of environmental conditions – Part 1 : Environmental parameters and their severities
This part of IEC 60721 lists environmental parameters and a limited number of their severities within the range of conditions met by electrotechnical products when being transported, stored, installed and used
Price RM50

MS 1750 : 2004
Classification of environmental conditions – Part 2-1 : Environmental conditions appearing in nature – Temperature and humidity
This part of the standard presents types of open-air climate in terms of temperature and humidity. It is intended to be used as part of the background material when selecting appropriate temperature and humidity severities for product applications.
Price RM70

MS IEC 60721-2-2 : 2004
Classification of environmental conditions – Part 2-2 : Environmental conditions appearing in nature – Precipitation and wind
This part of the standard presents fundamental properties, quantities for characterization, and a classification of environmental conditions dependent on precipitation and wind relevant for electrotechnical products.
Price RM30

MS IEC 60721-2-3 : 2004
Classification of environmental conditions – Part 2-3 : Environmental conditions appearing in nature – Air pressure
This part of the standard presents a selection of different values of air pressure appearing in nature. It is intended to be used as part the background material when selecting appropriate severities of air pressure for product applications.

Non-destructive testing

MS 1317 : Part 1 : 2003
Recommended practice for radiographic examination of fusion welded joints - Part 1: Fusion welded joints in steel plates and pipes of up to and including 50 mm wall thickness (First revision).
This Malaysian Standard applies to the radiographic examination of welded joints in steel plates, pipes, pressure vessels, boiler tubes, pen stocks and other cylindrical bodies of thickness up to and including 50 mm wall thickness. This Malaysian Standard does not lay down radiographic criteria of acceptance and rejection for the joints, but in concern with the radiographic technique to be used. Since the quality of a radiograph cannot be fully ensured by the use of an image quality indicator (IQI), this standard indicates the method necessary to obtain comparable radiographs from different origins. Steel in this context covers stainless steel. This Malaysian Standard cancels and replaces MS 1317: Part 1:1993.
