Automotive Engineering Centre supports and coordinates all services needed by customers on testing and R&D automative components.  Its responsibilities are to provide and coodinate the use of all facilities in SIRIM and private facilities for automotive components and parts.  Tests which are carried out are conformed to national and international standards, manufacturer's specifications and legistrative requirements.  The services offered on the automotive components and parts will conform to standards prescriptions, quality control testing, safety testing, and product quality certification, investigation testing and failure analysis.

Automotive Engineering Centre is divided into two sections:

• Virtual Engineering and Testing Simulation Section (VETSS)
• Homologation & Development Testing Section (HDTS)
