Experience
Nur Fadhilah Muhammad has joined SIRIM as Research Officer, at the Electrotechnical Testing Unit SIRIM (Lamps and Accessories Laboratory) in 1985 where she supervised and managed the Lamps and Accessories Laboratory and participated in the development of the Malaysian Standard for lamps, luminaries and its accessories. She had also supervised and managed the Domestic Household Appliances Laboratory, verifying and ensuring all testings were conducted as specified in the product standard.
In September 1996, she was appointed as Group Leader (Electrical), Product Certification Section, SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. Supervised and managed the Electrical Group, Product Certification Section, where she successfully developed Certification System For Product Certification Section (Electrical Sector) and achieved recognition as the National Certification Body (NCB) for the IECEE CB Scheme and approved signatory for CB Test Certificate. SIRIM QAS also became the first certification body in Malaysia to attain accreditation from Department of Standards, Malaysia in ISO/ICEC Guide 65.
Later in September 2000, Nur Fadhilah was promoted as the Senior Manager, Product Certification Section, SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. where she established strategies, objectives, plans and systems to effectively manage the Product Certification Section in line with Business Plan. She successfully developed certification system for Product Certification Section (Electrical Sector) to extend the membership in CB Scheme to CB-FCS (CB Full Certification Scheme). She also represented Malaysia as technical expert in CASCO WG29.
In December 2005, as the Senior Manager, Product Certification and Inspection Section her job scope expanded to include the management of inspection activities for foreign certification agencies, and the inspection of ‘Green Engine’. She was then appointed as the Head of Electrical and Electronic Section, SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. (January 2007-December 2008) where she was responsible in planning and implementing the upgrading of testing facilities to cater for new technological trends and new test specifications.
In January 2009 – May 2010, she was appointed as Senior General Manager, Product Certification & Inspection Department, responsible to develop and manage mutual recognition or inspection arrangements with overseas conformity assessment bodies. As Senior General Manager, Testing Services Department (May 2010 – Jan. 2021) Nur Fadhilah, has led, initiate, develop and analyse new potential businesses either local or overseas for the company in line with the corporate growth and expansion policies of the holding company.
