Assuring the safety of materials used in the development of medical devices includes a critical assessment on physico-chemical of the manufactured products. Our laboratory offers comprehensive physico-chemical characterization services according to standard documents such as ISO and ASTM.
This is a non- destructive method to analyze the chemical functions by using the vibration detection that correspond to the chemical bonding of a particular material. The detection is based on the infrared irradiation absorption of the material, which is then translated into a spectrum with intensity of absorption at certain wavelengths. These wavelengths reflected the characteristics of the chemical bond of the materials.
The test method is in accordance with ASTM E1252 – 98 and ASTM E573-01 for Qualitative Measurement of IR Spectrum. Various application can be listed as follows:* A vast array of analytical opportunities in academic, analytical, QA/QC and forensic labs* Identify the unknown materials and confirmation of production materials (incoming or outgoing).* Simple compound identification of polymers, rubbers, ceramics and others to process and regulatory monitoring* Quality verification of incoming/outgoing materials-microanalysis of contaminant* Analysis of thin films and coatings* Nanoscale and spectroscopy below the diffraction limit* Failure analysis* The speed of FTIR analysis makes it particularly useful in screening applications, while the sensitivity empowers many advanced research applications.* Covers a wide range of chemical applications, especially for polymers and organic compounds.* Reveal the composition of solids, liquids, and gases. The information content is very specific in most cases, permitting fine discrimination between like materials.
