SIRIM innovative projects earned the organisation a collection of five gold medals and one silver medal, shows its commitment to technology excellence and innovation.

The five gold medal winners are:

3-                 Asbestos free brake friction material for light rail transit application

4-                 Biotesto (Bakau Kurap) as Natural Aphrodisiac Remedy to Restore Male Sexual Function and General Well-Being

5-                 Pilot Manufacturing Process of Producing Local Material Based Current Collector for Rail Applications.

Natural Post-Biotic Immune Booster Composition (PineIMMUNE) is a game-changer in the realm of immune-solutions. Formulated with postbiotic extract derived from the fermentation of pineapple biomass combined in house isolated probiotic strain. Preclinical studies shows demonstrate PineIMMUNE's potential to reduce inflammatory cytokines, suggesting efficacy in enhancing immunity and combating infections.

System and Method to Generate and Verify Digital Signatures is the present invention relates to a digital signatures system used for generating and verifying digital signatures that are encoded into automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) objects.

BIOTESTO (BAKAU KURAP) As Natural Aphrodisiac Remedy to Restore Male Sexual Function and General Well-Being is a significant innovation in the field of male sexual performance solutions. The extraction method used for Bakau Kurap has the potential to become widely accepted standard due to its high yield. Preclinical studies indicate that BIOTESTO shows promise in boosting testosterone levels and other reproductive hormones, as well as promising hair growth.

Pilot Manufacturing Process of Producing Local Material Based Current Collector for Rail Applications will improve method of producing carbon-copper composites to produce carbon-copper products using warm compaction method and local carbon material. Palm kernel-shell was used as alternative materials to be mixed with conventional graphite powder. This innovative project will create new business opportunities with strategic partners to commercialise this technology into different applications such as carbon brushes for automotive and electrical industries.

Meanwhile, Project titled Skin Hydration Products from Roselle Seeds and Sintok Extracts bagged silver medal.

The 35th instalment of ITEX was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 16 to 17 May 2024, showcases 700 inventions, technologies and products by inventors from over 15 countries.
